- Encourage toddlers to count their fish at the end of the game.
Variations:
- Color Hunt: Ask the toddlers to find fish of a specific color.
- Big & Small: Have them collect only big or small fish.
- Number Game: Write numbers on the fish and have the toddlers match them to a number board.
Biblical Lesson: The Miraculous Catch of Fish After the game, share the story from Luke 5:1-11, where Jesus tells the fishermen to cast their nets after they had caught nothing all night. When they obey, their nets are filled with so many fish that they can barely lift them! This teaches us about trusting and listening to Jesus.
Lesson Connection:
- Just as the children searched for fish, the fishermen in the Bible trusted Jesus and were rewarded.
- We should always listen to and have faith in Jesus, even when things seem difficult.
- Jesus called the fishermen to become "fishers of men," meaning we should share His love with others!

STORY TIME! Once upon a time, in a world full of people, there was a very special promise. God wanted everyone to know how much He loved them, so He sent someone very, very special—His own Son, Jesus.
Jesus was like a big, bright light in a dark room. When He came to earth, He showed everyone how kind and loving God is. He smiled at little children, helped people who were hurting, and told beautiful stories about God’s love.
A long time before Jesus was born, people were told His name would be Immanuel, which means “God is with us.” And that’s exactly what happened! Jesus came to be with everyone—to show that God was never far away. He came to bring light, love, and joy to the world.
And so, the people who believed in Him knew that no matter where they went or what happened, God was always right there, loving them. The End.
