30 Minutes of Fun and Learning- This is to prepare the child for Sabbath School. Each day a new agenda will appear. Use the Program Music for all of these songs. This will allow the children to practice these songs for Sabbath School. We have some exciting sensory activities for our upcoming Sabbath School for our Beginners!
A Coin and a Fish
Monday
Singing (Up & dancing around, clapping, happy movements!)

Playing (Guided)
Fishy Coin Hunt (Sensory Bin Game)
Objective: Find hidden coins inside toy fish or a sensory bin.
Materials:
- Plastic fish toys (or paper cutouts with slits)
- Plastic gold coins
- Bin with water beads, rice, or shredded paper
Instructions:
Hide a coin inside or under each fish. Let the toddlers dig through the bin and "catch" the fish to find the coin. Every time a child finds one, you can say:
"Just like Peter found a coin in the fish's mouth!"
Teaches: God's provision in surprising ways.
Lesson:
Sometimes God provides for us in ways we don't expect! Just like Peter found the coin in the fish's mouth, we can trust that God always knows what we need and how to help us.
Key Thought: “God gives us what we need!”

Fishing for Kindness
Objective: "Catch" fish with good messages or pictures.
Materials:
- Fishing poles with magnets (or velcro)
- Paper fish with messages like “God takes care of us,” “Jesus helps me,” or pictures of kind acts
- A small “pond” area
Instructions:
Kids take turns “fishing.” After they catch a fish, read the message aloud and talk about it briefly.
Teaches: Lessons in kindness, obedience, and trust.
Lesson:
Peter listened to Jesus and obeyed—even though it sounded a little silly. We can listen to Jesus too, and show kindness to others just like He teaches us.
Key Thought: “I can follow Jesus and be kind!”

Coin Toss for the Temple
Objective: Toss coins into baskets labeled “Temple”
Materials:
- Soft play coins
- Baskets or containers labeled with a temple icon or picture
Instructions:
Each child tries to toss a coin into the basket. Celebrate each successful toss by saying something like:
"Peter brought the coin to help pay the temple tax!"
Teaches: Giving and helping others, as Peter did.
Lesson:
Jesus helped Peter do something important—pay for the temple tax! That reminds us we can help others and use what we have to do good things for God.
Key Thought: “I can help and give like Jesus!”

Fish Match Game (Memory or Puzzle)
Objective: Match pairs of fish or match coins to fish.
Materials:
- Fish cards (some with coins, some without)
- Matching game format or a puzzle board
Instructions:
Turn cards over and let kids try to match the coin with the correct fish. Celebrate when they do!
Teaches: Observation and recall, reinforcing the coin-in-the-fish miracle.
Lesson:
The story reminds us that Jesus knows everything—even where a coin is hiding! We may not know everything, but we can trust Jesus because He always knows the way.

Role Play: Peter’s Adventure
Objective: Act out the story in a super simplified way.
Materials:
- Simple props: toy boat, net, coin, fish plush or puppet
- Adult/teacher to narrate
Instructions:
One child plays Peter, another Jesus. The narrator tells the story: Peter asks Jesus about taxes, then "goes fishing" and finds the coin.
Teaches: Trusting Jesus and following His instructions.
Lesson:
Peter trusted Jesus and did what He said. When we trust Jesus, even little things can become big miracles! Jesus takes care of us when we listen and follow Him.
